In Catie's Room

As I sit on Catie's peach color blanketed bed, my eyes glance over at Ghost Hunters on SciFi and at my xanga account, which I have not posted to in nearly a year. Catie slumps over sister Dell laptop, hugging her mint green pillow and squishing her tiny chin into the fluff filled material. Her hair whisks over her head and as I stare I wonder if she notices I am creating a literary portrait of her. If I had a paintbrush in hand, my depiction would be more obvious. Yet the sly typing of my agile fingers go undetected.

Catie says "Headache" and scrunches her nose. "Oh well."

"Did you take tylenol?" I ask.

"Yup." She sighs. "You are a fan of scrabulous apparantly."

I giggle. "Yup. Haven't tried it yet though." I pause. "Have you played it?"

"I used to. Don't do it anymore," she replies, readjusting her pillow. "Do you want tea?"

"Yes!"

Catie gracefully leaps off her bed, in that I don't want to get up but tea is so lovely that I guess I should way. She washes out the hand-made mug with hot pink frosted flowers embellishing the edges.

"What tea would you like? We still have the tea you brought too."

"Hmm... Yes," I reply, quickling typing out the conversation and hoping Catie still will not get suspicious.

"I will want pumpkin."

"Pumpkin? May I try some... Oh, pomegranate green tea? Wow!"

"You can have that too, yeah."

"I don't know if I want pumpkin or pomegranate... We'll see."

I still have a xanga? Really? No, Really?

I hadn't realized this account was still up and running... SO, here's an update on my life if you've been waiting a year to read a new entry, sorry about that:

This summer I've been traveling back and forth from NJ to MD to help my mom sell the house. Packing boxes, cleaning rooms so potential buyers can see the floor, things like that. I will visit my dad in NY soon, then hopefully see some more friends next week.

After that it's back to MD and a job interview. I work at a museum in Maryland and my boss is leaving. I have applied for the job and have an interview scheduled in the upcoming week. Wish me luck.

Next year I will be very busy (as usual) with school work and two jobs and layout manager of Wisteria Magazine. My roommate transfered to an art school, so I believe I will have a Korean Exchange student as a roommate. This may be a lot of fun, assuming she's nice and won't keep me up all night.

I just recently read a private journal entry from well over two years ago and  out of the 40 things I listed were stressful in my life at the time, I really only have a few of things left in my life that stress me, which are classes, jobs, finding time to exercise and parent stuff.  The only things look so stupid, such as worrying about paying for my car in full (which I did), affording school books (which I have managed to do) and depression over the death of my cat (which I'm pretty good about now).  The main thing that entry told me was although there will be high stress points in life, over time, those things will disappear or lessen.

And so, I will be in NJ next week, from july 30 to the aug 5th, so feel free to comment if you want to see me or catch up on life. adios!

Finals

So... I am alive! Right now I am taking my final exams and preparing to fly back to New Jersey. I am planning to relax, see some friends, get back into Yoga & just enjoy not having two jobs, 18.5 credits & 6 papers to write. I hope to see a lot friends back in New Jersey, so if you're interested in catching up, even if I haven't seen you in over two years, then just IM me, comment or call my cell.

Oh, the Essays of Montaigne, how I loathe to study you...

England !!!

Tomorrow night I am flying from BWI to London, England. Ill be there for almost two weeks, seeing many different places and doing a lot of walking. I wont have access to a computer nor a phone, so you wont be hearing from for a while, not like I post here anyways. If you want a post card, comment here tonight. I am only sending a few, due to the cost of the dollar versus the pound, every dollar is practically ½ a pound.

Ill be in New Jersey after the 16th of July, so call me because I have nothing to do for 4 to 5 weeks. :) See you all soon!

Much love,

Liz.

HOW did they know I like to red panties outside of my tights!!?? *looks around for secret cameras and spies*

Anywho, I am alive, just busy! I have two jobs, occupying anywhere from 30 to 35 hours each week, plus I have a minimum of 30 hours for my internship. That doesn't leave me much time in the week, especially since I have to cook all my own meals and buy food and such. But I will be in Maryland throughout June if you wanna stop by Hood to hang out during the night (I'm only free at night usually past 4:30 or 5). I'll be in Jersey from mid July to August, so if you wanna hang there, just call my cell.

One Latin text translated, many more to go!

*Orosius, I love how you repeat yourself, it makes my life so much easier and makes me feel smarter for remembering Latin winds/directions and names of random cities.*
